Juana La Loca · Taberna Caribeña

The Experience

An evening in five chapters.

The doors open at dusk. The kitchen hums. Somewhere a guitar is being tuned. What follows is the story of a night at Juana La Loca.

Weekend Awakenings

Chapter I · Brunch

Weekend Awakenings

Sun through wooden shutters, coffee poured strong, and mimosas in antique coupes. Our brunch brings together Arepas with Pork Belly, Huevos Rotos, Royal French Toast, and other hearty favorites from our kitchen. It is Old San Juan's slow morning ritual.

Caribbean Suppers

Chapter II · Dinner

Caribbean Suppers

Pulpo Español with green banana tostones. Seared Red Snapper Fillet with creamy garlic and mashed taro. Risotto Criollo and grilled Caribbean lobster. Our dinner menu draws from Puerto Rico's kitchens and the wider Caribbean, plated with restraint and served under candlelight.

The Bar

Chapter III · Cocktails

The Bar

Puerto Rico is rum country. Our bartenders build classics with the reverence of librarians — daiquiris, old fashioneds, the odd tiki relic — alongside signature cocktails that thread passionfruit, ginger, cacao and smoke into something entirely our own.

Nights of Song

Chapter IV · Live Music

Nights of Song

Live musicians play through dinner and long into the night. Boleros to open. Son and salsa as the plates clear. Guitar and voice, brass and hand percussion — the soundtrack of the island, at close range.

After Hours

Chapter V · Dance Floor

After Hours

As the evening deepens, the tables slide, the chandelier turns down, and the floor opens. Locals lead. Visitors are welcomed. There is nothing quite like a Saturday night at Juana La Loca — and no better way to end an evening in Old San Juan.
